Chicago Weekend Tips for a Fun Holiday Weekend

Even though the thermometer may hit 50 today, I am still feeling in the Holiday Spirit. We are getting out tree this weekend and decking the halls on Sunday night. Here are some tips to kick yourself into Holiday gear and enjoy Chicago.

Lincoln Park Zoo Lights-This is hands down one of coolest things to experience in Chicago over the Holidays. From now until January 6th you can enjoy the brilliance and light show at the Lincoln Park Zoo on Friday and Saturday nights. At this free event you can experience ice carvers, holiday shopping, spend time with the animals and also treats, wine and hot chocolate. This is a great outing to get you into the Holiday spirit. Tonight I am heading down with 18 other people for our annual mistletoe hop where we first go see the lights and have a nice dinner with family and friends. And if you are so inclined, they do have a coat drive so please bring new or gently used coats to the donation boxes at the Gateway Pavilion or Park Place Grill. Check out the video to show a sample of the show!

The Rockettes are in Rosemont for the Radio City Christmas Spectacular-The high kicking show can be seen at the Akoo Theater in Rosemont. This show is filled with glamour, precision and a whole lot of high kicks! Get your tickets which range from $30-$89.

And who does not live the Grinch? Dr Seuss's How the Grinch Stole Christmas is in town this weekend at Cadillac Palace Theater and can be seen tonight at 7pm and Saturday at 11am, 2pm and 7pm.

Whatever you do this weekend, have a GREAT weekend and enjoy the warmer weather they are predicting. Happy Holidays!
