Chicago Wedding at River East Art Center and Holy Name Cathedral

Chicago Wedding at River East Art Center and Holy Name Cathedral

We LOVED Morgan and Mike's wedding last fall at the Holy Name Cathedral and River East Art Center. Elizabeth Anne Designs featured it on their wedding blog last week and we wanted to share on our own website too. Morgan and Mike's favorite season is Fall and they embraced that in their wedding day details. Who does not love a fall wedding in Chicago? Enjoy!

Fall Wedding Trends -Design (Part 1 of 3)

Fall in Chicago is one of my favorite times of the year. The smell of burning wood, crisp leaves crunching under my feet and red sunsets glowing over Lake Michigan. The short season between late-September and December provides couples with a myriad of ways to personalize their wedding. They’re incorporating the texture and the feel of Autumn in their choices of design, food, as well as their wedding activities. Fall in Chicago gives couples the freedom to fully express themselves in all aspects of their wedding weekend.

Mary and Patrick McGeever

Mary and Pat McGeever's wedding was on the perfect fall day in October. The ceremony took place at four o'clock in the afternoon at Holy Name Cathedral.
Cocktails, dinner and dancing followed in the Gold Coast Room at The Drake Hotel.
