Meet Ali Phillips - Chicago Wedding Planner
Hello there! Congratulations on your engagement and upcoming wedding or event! Thank you visiting my website and your interest in getting to know me and my business! My name is Ali Phillips and I am a Chicago wedding and event planner and the President and owner of Engaging Events. I love celebrations! I love people! And I love helping couples plan their weddings and events!
I bring my kindness, positive attitude, my passion for logistically detailed events and proactive approach to all of my events, making the wedding planning experience both seamless and enjoyable for my clients. And I love that we get to have fun in the process!
For twenty-one years, I have been planning weddings, events, non-profit galas, and corporate incentive trips in Chicago and around the world. I have been honored to be recognized as leader in the wedding and event industry. I was named an top A-List Destination Planner by Destination Weddings & Honeymoons magazine and have been named one of the Favorites Chicago Wedding Planners by Chicago Magazine and was named one of Chicago’s favorite wedding planners by Brides magazine. I have planned over 480 weddings and events in Chicago and many of them have taken place all over the world, including Mexico, Turks and Caicos, Costa Rica, Napa, Fiji, England, Ireland and South Africa.
Outside of my wedding and event planning life I give back by mentoring aspiring event professionals and speaking at many college campuses and conferences, and by volunteering my time with the charities that I support. I am a co-founder of the Illinois Events Coalition that was founded in 2020 to help advocate, support and educate for the events industry.
When I am not tying a bow tie, straightening linens or placing menu cards on the table, you can find me boating on Lake Michigan, at a Soul Cycle class, practicing hot yoga, or traveling the world searching for the perfect sunset!
My Beliefs
I believe that life is meant to be celebrated with family and friends!

It is about the journey as much as the destination!

I believe we should always have beautiful flowers, great food and the perfect cocktail and I love a good dance party!
My favorite wedding day moment?
Just before the the couple goes down the aisle. This moment makes me so happy to know they are walking down the aisle to marry their best friend!
