Revel Motor Row Wedding in Chicago

Emily and Matt

Emily and Matt were a great couple to work with. Their focus for their Revel Motor Row wedding was on their family and guests experiencing a fun and carefree day with lots of dancing!

The couple wanted an indoor and outdoor venue that was unique to Chicago. Revel Motor Row has so much history in Chicago, and it has such a cool, industrial space and vibe. Built in 1936 and previously home to the Illinois Automobile Club and the Chicago Defender building, Revel Motor Row is a classic and historic Chicago space.

From the beginning of the day I knew that laughter and smiling would be the theme of the day. The friendly and approachable vibe of the couple shined thru on this gorgeous day in August with perfect Chicago summer weather.

The outdoor wedding ceremony at Revel Motor Row’s courtyard was intimate and unique. The ceremony was performed by a family friend and Emily’s mother, who is a minister. Her friend also sang a beautiful song during the ceremony which was really touching and memorable.

As their wedding planners, we love how all the fun details came together. We took great care picking the paper products, including the menu cards and programs, to match the organic white and green color scheme. Then, heading to the reception, the guests’ table assignments were on a beautiful scroll as you entered the seated dinner. It was truly an elegant and approachable wedding, and the Revel Motor Row venue was the perfect setting.

Planner's Favorite Details from Ali

I LOVED Emily and Matt’s first dance moment! They had a choreographed dance with perfect dip at the end!

And the Sparkler Exit at the end of the night was a great way to send Emily and Matt off into their married life together.
