When you're planning a wedding you have a choice.....to be stressed or not to be stressed. I chose not to be. I vowed that I would not let the details and demands of planning overwhelm my fiancé and I. To do that, we decided to hire a wedding planner.
I'm a television producer and in my career, I have to plan, execute, negotiate huge projects in a heavy deadline driven environment, and when it comes to my wedding, I needed someone who has that same mentality and someone who can capture my vision without hesitation. So I began my search for the perfect wedding planner. I was looking for a "day of" coordinator, and I interviewed and researched 11 total companies. All of them, were either not in my budget or didn't have the personality to fit my needs, as the bride. I wanted someone I can trust, someone who didn't seem like they were just running a company and needed clients, but someone who seemed more like a friend, and that's when I found Ali. I had gotten frustrated with my planner search and had asked various brides, and newlyweds either on the web or bridal shows who they had hired and they all said "Engaging Events by Ali". So I called, and set up an appointment and I met Ali. The meeting went flawless and all of my questions answered. She fit my budget and made me feel secure. She had set me up with one of her associates, Erin, to work as my "day of coordinator" through the wedding planning. I felt secure that my day would be perfect and beautiful. Both Ali and Erin were, not only professional but also creative and insightful when it came to my decisions and questions. Then the big day... nerves, stress, and excitement... this is the day a woman dreams about, and I put that day into the hands of Ali and Erin. It was one of the best decisions I had made. I was able to enjoy my new husband, celebrate my new life and witness the details of my wedding without the worry. Erin not only calmed my nerves but didn't miss a single detail. Second to my new husband, hiring Ali was one of the best decisions I had made. I can relive every moment of my wedding day, with not one problem. My wedding was the most amazing time of my life and I am grateful that I had such a wonderful wedding planner.
