Valentine's Day in Chicago

It is four days before Valentine's Day, fresh snow on the ground in Chicago and the internet is all-abuzz with Valentine's Day tips and ideas on what do give or do with your loved one. Here are some fun ideas that I thought of that are wonderful things to do with your soon to be spouse or loved ones.

Go Ice Skating

There are a couple of places to do this in Chicago. Are you a die hard Chicago Cubs fan? Ice skate at Wrigley Field, The Rink at Wrigley. Adults only cost $10 and children are $6. Operating Monday-Friday from 2pm-9pm, Saturday from 10am to 9pm and Sunday from 10am to 8pm. It is a great way to get out, embrace the new snow on the ground and get some good exercise with your loved one.

Another spot to check out would be the Millennium Park Ice Skating rink.  Located at Michigan Avenue and Washington Avenue, you are sure to have fun at this great downtown location. Read their website for details and times of operation. Once are you done skating, be sure to stop by Park Grill to warm up with hot chocolate and a bite to eat following your fun skate on the ice.

Take a Dancing Class

What a fun way to do something as a couple and share some laughs together. There are a couple of great dance studios in town. Dance Connection and Arthur Murray are great locations to look into special Valentine's dance classes.

Learn How to Cook

The Chopping Block in Chicago offers some great classes so that you and your honey can cook up something wonderful in your kitchen for Valentine's Day. There are many different classes to choose from. From how to make chocolate covered strawberries to cooking up a romantic Valentine's Day brunch, their class schedule online offers something for everyone.

Whatever you do this weekend, keep your special loved one close and make sure to tell them how much you love them.
