Last week, on Wednesday, March 24th, 250 event professionals gathered together at the Ravenswood Event Center for a party to Celebrate the Launch of Wish Upon a Wedding in Chicago. Wish Upon a Wedding is America's first nonprofit wedding wish granting organization. Wish Upon a Wedding with grant weddings and civil unions to couples across the United States facing a terminal illness.

I was so moved by all of the support and love that came from those who attended. Each guest left with a little flyer on how to get involved. Our email boxes and voice mails have been filled with those wanting to learn more so I thought I would post here how you can get involved and help us spread the word about this amazing organization.

How To Get Involved with Wish Upon a Wedding:

Become a Wish Granter and provide goods and services for our Wish Recipients. Sign up in Chicago here.

Make a Contribution. Donations can be made as a simple personal donation or brides and grooms can even make a donation in lieu of favors or gifts. You can do that on the Web site here.

Volunteer. Each chapter needs committee members to help with the planning of events, marketing and operations. Please email me if you are interested in joining a committee and helping us make a difference for those in need. Email me at ali@engagingeventsbyali.com

Social Networking. Help us get the word out by mentioning us on Facebook, your blog, Twitter or any other social media outlets you use. Follow up on twitter at @Wishuponwedding.

Corporate Partnership. We are interested in forming alliances with entities that support our mission or have a mutual interest in reaching out to engaged couples in need.
