Valentine's Weekend in Chicago

Get out the heart sweater and chill the champagne, it is Valentine's Weekend!! A chilly weekend is predicted in Chicago and here are my top picks for having a wonderful Valentine's weekend with your loved one!

Brunch: I am very serious about my brunch spots. Always in search for the best and most perfect avocado toast or Eggs Benedict, Chicago Tribune picked some great ones this week to consider! Check out the following

Spinning J Bakery and Soda Fountain, Pastoral Andersonville and  Cafe Marie-Jeanne. And one of my favorite brunch spots is  Nico Osteria located in the Thompson Hotel.

Activity: What better way to show someone you love them than to cook with them and fill their belly with yummy food! Learn to cook by taking a cooking class together at Chopping Block Chicago.

Hold hands and hit Millenium Park skating rink. Once you get off the ice, it is a short walk to The Gage to warm up and have some wonderful food.

Dinner and a Show: The Estate, by Gene and Georgetti is our top pick for Sunday night. Enjoy A Fine Romance dinner and a show out in Rosemont. Stay home and hibernate: Not into going out on the cold? Stay home and hibernate and watch movies with your loved one. Comcast has a great movie collection of Valentine's and love themed weddings under Movie Collections. Pop a bottle of champagne and cook up one of my favorites for a nice dinner of Spaghetti Carbonara from Food Network and a big glass of Cabernet.

Single and want to head out with friends? Check out the hilarious, Bye Bye Liver A mix between a play, drinking game and all around hysterical night out with friends!
